News & Rumors
With all the buzz going around the internet these day about a new Steve Perry
CD coming out, what do you think? Is it another solo project or is he singing with someone
else. The speculation is that it's a solo project, set to be released on or near his birthday next year. I guess we'll have
to wait and see.
In the 10 years that Steve Perry spent writing, singing and performing with Journey, that band sold in the
neighborhood of 35 million records throughout the universe. From 1978 to 1987, through six multi-platinum-selling albums and
seven Top 10 singles, Steve Perry's name was synonymous with success. In 1994 Perry released FOR THE LOVE OF STRANGE MEDICINE.
It was his second solo outing, and ultimately comes 10 years after 1984's double-platinum STREET TALK which produced four
hit singles, including the #3 smash "Oh Sherrie" and "Foolish Heart." The Nineties find Steve Perry still the hitmaker and
his songs "I Stand Alone" and "United We Stand" from the QUEST FOR CAMELOT Soundtrack are no exception.
A message from Steve Perry himself to all of his fans, posted on Fan Asylum. This message
was posted this year on his birthday. You can also find a Q&A with Steve posted on this site as well.

In '06 I told ya I was 43 and since then I've had to come to
terms with the fact that I had stretched the truth just a pinch. So I wanna tell ya that today, I turned 49...................again"
